I spend a lot of time looking at the world and my life from the ground. It gets crowded down here. Sometimes I get very tangled up in emotions and people and can’t seem to get my inner “GPS” to work so I can find my way around. It is easy to get lost in the crowd of thoughts and ideas and people’s opinions and lose sight of a better perspective.
Today people use global tracking divices to navigate through the maze of roads that clutter our land in order to find their way to where they want to go. What a wonderful example of how trusting someone or something with a higher perspective. We don’t need a GPS to navigate emotions and spiritual things, we need a connection with God. Our connection with God, who made everything and knows everything can guide us through all the thoughts, ideas, opinions and emotions that push us one way and pull us another.
In this Christmas season I am reminded that God sent His Son to be an example to us of how to navigate our way through this life into eternity with God. It all started with a Baby born in a manger who came to save us from our sins. What an amazing account of God’s love. Don’t spend this Christmas having fun without taking time to remember what God did for us and why we celebrate.
Remember that Christmas celebrates the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ and the beginning of His life on this earth that stands as an everlasting reminder of how we can overcome sin and death. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that you take time to spread the Good News of Jesus with your friends and family.
