Have you ever spent time doing word searches? I love to challenge myself to find the words and sometimes hidden messages. I have created a word search with a hidden message and included in this blog post. I hope you enjoy trying to solve it. I will share the solved search and hidden message next week.
This week I spent my spare time creating word searches for my colleagues at work. I thought it might be fun and help sharpen our minds to have a challenge related to our profession. Improving our minds is always a good idea.
The fun and challenge of a puzzle are great. But how many of us view life as a puzzle and spend all of our time trying to solve it instead of living it. It is so easy to get caught up in the challenges that we can’t see the forest for the trees.
I read a scripture today in John 5:38-40
“But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” (NKJV)
Jesus was speaking of the witnesses that He has to prove that He is from God. In earlier verses he speaks of John the Baptist and of how the Father testifies of Him. Then he brings it to a culmination by focusing on how the Word of God testifies to His coming and miraculous life. These folks were blind to the signs of the times and to what God was doing among them. The word they were studying was not alive in them.
Searching for meaning is great as long as you don’t lose sight of living what you find and you learn how to search when you are not staring at words on a page. The words have to become life or they are just a vacant exercise.
I challenge you to apply what you have learned and search the world around you for signs of the times. Make sure what you are putting into your mind will help you live your life and recognize what God is doing so you are not left out of a great reward.
Enjoy your week and I will be back next week with more.
