Since this is the season of being thankful. I thought I would share my list of what I am thankful for with you.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband 🙂 of 32 years who has been with me through my thickness and thinness, my sadness and happiness, good times and bad times and whom I plan to keep until death do us part.
I am thankful for my awesome children, who have forgiven me–I hope— for all my parenting errors, though they are many. Who put up with a mom who seemed a little off—-kind of crazy—- making all those stuffed animals talk and tell really long stories. I am thankful for all the times with my children when they were growing up. There were many great adventures in those days.
I am thankful for my amazing daughters-in-law and my clever son-in-law. Each of my children has found the perfect mate.
I am thankful for handsome grandsons and adorable granddaughters. One of the greatest things I have experienced is being a grandmother. It is wonderful to look at a grandchild and see your child who is all grown up now reflected in this new little life. I love the amazing beauty that two people from different backgrounds can come together and make another beautiful life.
I am thankful for the growth that comes out of hard times. When pain and sorrow are at their worst, God finds a way to show us care and compassion.
I am thankful for my brothers and sisters who love me.
I am thankful for friends new and old who stand with me in good times and bad.
I am thankful for work and the ability to work.
Mostly I am thankful for God who sent His only Son (Jesus) to show us how to really live. And who made a way for a sinner like me to receive the gift of eternal life. I await the day that I will see Him face to face and humbly embrace His love completely.
I am thankful that there are people like you out there to read my list of thanks.
Enjoy your week and I will be back next week with more.
